Joe Deacon introduced our speakers who gave us a review of past and current efforts to promote good health.
Beth Dadko introduced Health Action Sonoma and asked the question, “What influences our health?” She ran through a variety of issues that have the biggest impact on our health, including health’s relationship with education. They have elevated their status in the community by building partnerships. She gave much credit to Healdsburg District Hospital for their health screening of more than 250 people during the Wellness Fair last spring. The group has several focus areas, including Access to Healthy Food, Healthy Retail, Know Your Numbers, Mental and behavioral Health and Health in all policies.
