August 21, Meeting
The meeting was called to order by Sandi Krutz, sitting President. Member Lara did the pledge.
Inspiration
Renee Hyde gave three options for inspirations focusing on “Making a Difference” which included:
“If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a Mosquito” (Dalai Lama); Don’t ever underestimate the impact that you may have on someone else’s life. Even if you don’t know it! Just one act of kindness that you perform may turn the time of another person’s life!!”
Guests:
- Satoshi, the Exchange student from Paraguay was in attendance. He reviewed the AMAZING WEEKEND that he had with the other Exchange Students on the Raft Trip. He said it was the “MOST AMAZING thing he has ever done!!”
- Dave Culley (past member), was in attendance
Warm Up
In keeping with alternating a song and a “warm up,” today was a physical warm-up presented by Carol Martin. She asked that everyone stand up and “perform” as though you were auditioning for a “stunt man” position. She asked that the members “pounce, balance, climb a rope, swagger like a cowboy, swim the butterfly stroke, river dance, paint the fence, wax, use a balance ball like a seal, wiggle like a worm and stretch like a giraffe!” Looks like everyone did a great job and have been accepted as “stuntmen (or women!) for an upcoming performance!!
