  • Windsor Rotary and some nearby clubs are planning a Giants game get-together
    • $90 per person, would include bus and ferry to the stadium
  • A volunteer group of Windsor Rotarians will be working at the food bank this Thursday after 5pm, all Windsor Rotarians welcome to join

  • Active 20-30 Club Shopping Spree Presentation – Dominic Fopoli, Ryan, Tanya Bruno, Amy Holter
    • In the past have taken 300 underprivileged kids to Coddingtown Mall for dental checks, haircuts, clothes and school supply shopping
      • Each child has $150 to spend, Windsor Rotary is helping fund this
    • Would like to have Windsor Rotary volunteers
    • Normally 1st week in August, but a date hasn’t been set. More details to come.
    • John Horton is the liaison in Windsor Rotary to coordinate volunteer sign-up
  • Presentation – Sonoma County Office of Education, Steven D. Herrington, Ph.D., Sonoma County Superintendent of Schools
    • Goal is to foster student success in the county
    • Leading the Maker Education Movement
      • Hands-on, project based learning
      • Finding that more students stay in school with these programs

      • 700 students considered homeless in the county
      • Impact of fires on public schools
        • 1,450 students lost homes
        • 250 school employees lost homes
        • 2 schools destroyed
        • 2 schools closed for months
