Visiting Rotarians:

Ken Moulton introduced his wife, Pam Moulton, past President Healdsburg Sunrise, & 2017-18 assistant Governor.

Guests:                                                                                                                                                       Dick Bishop introduced his personal assistant Madison, & Chris Landwehr introduced Remy Moens.

Ella, our daughter from Sweden sent a big Thank you to all that attended and contributed to her Western Safari Fundraiser, she raised over $1000.00 towards the trip.   Western Safari is a fabulous trip not only for Youth Exchange but Rotarians as well.  Sergio Sales has participated in the trip for more years than I know and has spearheaded the trip for the last 4 years, this year due to Glenda’s health issues Sergio is unable to participate, he is looking for Rotarians or friends of Rotary that would like to tour the Western States, including the Grand Canyon in this special and unique way.  Please contact Sergio or Tom Hassur for more details.

We were also fortunate to have Emily Kastning, Youth Exchange out bound, heading to Germany.  She is a resident of Windsor so under our wing but is being sponsored by Rotary Club of Clear Lake.    It is wonderful when the YE students attend our meetings, learn more about Rotary and become part of our Rotary Family before doing their exchange.  It also provides them the opportunity to tempt us with their homemade sweets and do a little fundraising for their trip.  Thank you for your continued support.

Pam Moulton & Sue Nelson last year did a photo shoot of the homeless in Healdsburg and had a showing at the Paul Mahder Art Gallery along with drawings by students from local schools.  The project was a great success, creating awareness of the homeless, ways we can help and changing the stigma of the word “homeless”.  Pam and Sue have been invited back for a second project, however, this year they are putting a twist on the photo shoot and handing the cameras to the homeless.

Paul Mahder Art Gallery in Healdsburg will be displaying the Photo’s, Art Work by homeless and Students Saturday May 13th-May 22nd.   In addition to the Gallery show, portraits were selected along with the individual’s bio to create a book that will be available for sale;   proceeds will go to North Sonoma County Services.

Glenda Sales will remain in Sutter Hospital until Thursday or Friday while they continue to battle the infection that has invaded her body, keep her in your thoughts and prayers, she also appreciates a text or a visit.

It was a great day at the Windsor Day Parade with many Rotarians sporting their “ROTARY AT WORK” tee shirts, thank you Art & Dick Bishop for getting the Rotary Balloon to the event and up on the trailer.
